"Forty percent of the harvest made it into this flattering
20% Mourvèdre and 10% Syrah that was not destemmed
serious and still moderately austere finish that delivers explosive length
the wine reveals itself slowly at first and doles out small aromas of wild berry
with 14% Petit Verdot and 8% Malbec
2017 Betz Family Winery La Cote Rousse Syrah Italian "Forty percent of the harvest"For the first time, this wine is blended with a touch of Viognier (3%). It was partially fermented in concrete, and the aromas are lifted with notes of huckleberry, raspberry, herb, orange peel, black pepper and abundant minerals. The blue fruited palate is silky, soft and fresh, with a fine sense of acidity and tannin structure. It brings a lot of finesse as well. Best after 2024, with a long life after that." 94 100 Wine Enthusiast
